1. Who this app is for

The Archive is designed for couples. Each "couple" is made up of two people who link their accounts using an invite code. The content you create is private to your couple and is not shared with other users of the app.

You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use The Archive.

2. What data we collect

Account information. Your email address and password (managed securely through our authentication provider), and your display name.

Profile information you provide. Your profile photo, birthday, chosen language and theme, and notification preferences.

Couple information. Your invite code, the two cities you and your partner set, and (optionally) an anniversary date. The city names are converted into approximate map coordinates to show distance and a map.

Content you create. This includes: reunions and countdowns, bucket-list items, trips and itineraries, saved places and the specific spots within them, your personal comments on places, chat messages between you and your partner, "Meanwhile" daily photos, trip photos, milestones, and any notes or captions you add.

Photos. Photos you take or upload (profile, trips, places, Meanwhile) are stored privately and are visible only to you and your partner.

Approximate location. When you add a place or search for one, we send your query to Google Places to return addresses, hours, ratings and coordinates. This may involve approximate (coarse) location associated with the place, not continuous tracking of your device. We do not track your real-time location in the background.

Basic technical data. Device and usage information needed to keep the app running, sync content, and diagnose problems.

3. How we use your data
